What is Gaia? Modern science tells us that we go about our lives stuck to a big rock that is spinning a thousand miles per hour while orbiting through space around a ball of gas and fire at 67,000 miles per hour in an infinite universe full of systems just like ours (only ours is the sole planet blessed with life) and this all sprang from nothing in a fraction of a second all for no apparent reason. There is the mechanistic and scientist model of reality that we are taught to be truth as part of our education. As Terence McKenna said, “If you believe that story, what won’t you believe? This is the limiting case for credulity.”
For those of us who form our own models of reality based on direct experience. It is obvious that the earth is NOT a rock blindly rotating around the sun. This is what pre-institutionalized religion and indigenous people have always believed. Mother earth is a living, thinking, feeling, complex organism with a soul and a mind who loves all that inhabit her unconditionally. In all sense of the word earth is a goddess. We must treat her with the highest amount of respect, love and devotion. In turn she supports all life and all we need to live in paradise. Unfortunately many people fail to realize this and they have polluted, exploited and raped our Eden. We must each do our part to right the wrongs and to protect our planet. I named my store Gaian Botanicals to bring attention to these facts. I hope to make those who visit more aware of our situation and urge them to take action. I have been greatly interested in entheogens and ethnobotanicals since 1992. Gordon Wasson, Ralph Metzner, the Shulgin’s, Dale Pendell, Christian Rätsch, Jonathan Ott, Robert Anton Wilson, Carl A. P. Ruck, Rick Strassmen and many other luminaries of our time. Every store out there claims to have "the best products" well I believe I have them. Should I ever find something better I will track down the source and soon that product will be available from Gaian Botanicals. We are a small privately owned and operated specialty shop; I make many small purchases to ensure everything is fresh and potent. I closely examine and test all materials prior to sale. If something sits in my possession too long, I will not sell it here. I will wholesale it out; the quality of my products will never be compromised. Many of our botanicals are not from the Mega wholesalers which make up >90% of the ethno botanical market. We work with unique sources that specialize in each of these plants and their environment.
